I’m in my 50's and I feel physically and mentally stronger than ever!

I became a personal trainer because exercise has enhanced my life, and I want to share that experience with others. I feel empowered by my health and strive to stay “Fit for Life,” which keeps me looking and feeling younger than my age.

But in my youth, I was not very interested in exercise, I was a city girl, I did not want to sweat! In the 80’s, I started studying anatomy and became fascinated by how our muscles move and function. Over time, I developed a passion for exercise and overall health and wellness. I am now an outdoor enthusiast and spend my time out of my studio hiking, biking, kayaking and skiing.

My true passion is helping men & women transform their body by encouraging a healthy approach to overall wellness.

1What type of clients do you train?
I work with women who are looking for a real lifestyle change. Whether you’re a new mom wanting to get back your pre-pregnancy body or an empty nester looking to regain your youth, I can help. Everyone is different in abilities and fitness levels. So regardless of whether you’re dealing with an old injury, lower back pain, or a weak core, we will work together to get you stronger. Be prepared to work hard, have fun, and feel good!
2I don’t know anything about exercise; will personal training still be a good fit for me?
Yes, I will teach you. As your personal trainer, I will share my knowledge, expertise, and passion for exercise. Each exercise will be demonstrated and broken down to ensure you are doing it correctly, efficiently, and safely to avoid injury. I promise to listen to your concerns, pay attention to how your body moves, and care about YOU and your success.
3I’m really intimidated by all the equipment and people at the gym; how is training with you different?
No need to be intimidated here! I will create workouts to meet you at your current fitness level. My goal is to help you become stronger, increase your energy level, avoid injuries, and to have fun. You won’t have to walk around the gym wondering what machines to use, how many reps to do, and so on because I will plan your unique workouts for you and help you through them. There’s no need for you to guess if you’re doing the exercises correctly since you’ll have one-on-one training and support.
4Why is strength training important as we age?
As you age, you naturally lose muscle strength, changes in the way you do certain activities and how active you are. You are also at a higher risk for conditions such as osteoporosis and bone loss in general. A regular strength training routine can counteract these common problems and help you to look, feel, and BE younger longer! Studies have shown that strength training, which includes things like doing push ups, planking, and lifting weights, among others, can actually slow bone loss and potentially help you build new bone. It can also decrease your risk of falls by helping with overall balance. It is a vital skill at any age, but especially as you get older!
5How long until I see results?
You may be able to see results within 4- 8 weeks, depending on your consistency with nutrition and your exercise, as both work hand in hand. We will work together to set realistic goals based on your specific circumstances and needs!
